Child Protection Law Numb.12-15 of July 15, 2015 established the fifteenth of July as an Algerian National Child Day that is celebrated every year.

The celebration of this day is an affirmation of the great importance that Algeria attaches to respecting the rights of the child and the constant and determined work to protect and promote childhood, in line with the content of the International Convention and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, focusing in this field on the teachings of our tolerant Islamic religion and the principles of the Constitution guaranteeing human rights.
